World of Warcraft Trading Game

The next type of guild you might find the World of Warcraft Universe, or any MMO game for that matter is the Raiding Guild.

Raiding guilds tend to have a more structured or militaristic atmosphere than both the Family style guild and PvP guild and are much more serious minded.

Many of these types of guilds have a weekly raiding schedule consisting of 3 to 5 raids per week as well as a loot distribution system, commonly known as DKP. In many situations this type of guild requires that you attend a certain percentage of the scheduled raids to remain a member.

Being a member of a raiding guild takes a much greater commitment than the other types of guilds mentioned earlier in this series. You will be expected to know exactly how to play your class, learn how to deal with specific static encounters and research the zones that you intend to raid among other things.

Once you hit maximum level you should not expect to be invited to a raiding guild without proving yourself first. You will most likely be required to attend a number of raids before a guild invitation is even considered.

If you are considering starting a new guild and choose this type of guild be sure that you can live up to the time commitment that it requires. You as a leader or member will not gain respect from the guild if you are not there for a scheduled raid.

If you intend to start or join a raid guild you should expect to be online 3 to 5 nights per week for a minimum of 4 hours.
